Later levels will feature a device called a 'Mutator', this is a small box that takes the relatively harmless Genetic Blueprint Rat and turns it in to something far more dangerous. Genetic Blue Print Rats themselves wander levels aimlessly until they get within the proximity of a mutator (other rats will try to force them into one).
